When #Spanx developed 5 exclusive body-shaping pieces for Macy’s, I was tasked with not only introducing Spanx to the Macy’s family of businesses, but revealing the story of those 5 fabulous shapewear pieces. … still photography? Models?
THE APPROACH: 5 models across the spread was simple yet impactful. Not only did my concept become the branded look of Spanx® at Macy’s, but the concept evolved as the go-to layout for the following key brand initiatives - print, digital, in-store & jumbo tron:

SPRING FASHION FUN!
THE CHALLENGE: Showcase day-to-night spring fashion, in the plus category. It was important (to me) to create an exploration that was inclusive of plus fashion. Size is just a number, and I took the opportunity to highlight that idea, with elevated fashion poses and lighting.
WHAT HAPPENED AFTER THE FUN? Well, shortly after this campaign, the fashion industry began integrating all sizes together, and this bright and forward-looking event became THE CAREER BOOK, and featured career looks for women in all sizes. The subject of my swipe was a consideration as well - Ashley Graham has been at the forefront of this movement.

There was a budget crunch on photography, but VIP Sale is a fashion-centric event, known for it’s high fashion visuals and steep discounts on brands that rarely go on sale. These comps were an exploration of type and effects.

This 4-8 page book (or stitched insert), showcases essential mens’ shoes of the season, highlighting the variety of styling options, from casual to dress. A compliment to the seasonal Wardrobe Sale Event.

In these CAMPAIGN MOOD BOARDS, three completely different styles, reflecting the Macy’s brand - with the “Plus Active” inspiration being an intentional nod to category integration.

A GIRL WALKS ONTO A FOOD SET… Well, I’m not a comedian - not even close - but in a world full of graphic and precise Kitchenaid Artisan Stand Mixer shots, we needed a fresh idea, and this is a great example of how I can take the lead and provide clear creative direction in a time crunch.
PHOTO DIRECTION: Position the mixers to look like BUMPER CARS after the ride - each at their own angle, with their movement relating easily to one another.
